NJ TRANSIT
How will the FIFA World Cup 26™ impact my daily commute?
The FIFA World Cup 26™ will draw an unprecedented number of visitors, including international travelers and fans moving throughout the country. What does this mean for commuters?
- Expect severe crowding and delays
- Expect limited capacity and restricted station access
- Normal commuting conditions should not be expected on Match-Days
NJ TRANSIT strongly recommends:
- Work from home whenever possible
- Avoid traveling on Match-Days unless travel is essential
- NYNJ Match-Days are June 13, 16, 22, 25, 27, 30, and July 5 & 19
- Adjust travel times
- Use alternative transportation options if available
- Advance planning will be essential to minimize disruption to your daily commute
