NJ TRANSIT Ticket Purchase Process

On Match-Days, access to Secaucus Junction and all NJ TRANSIT service to New York New Jersey Stadium is restricted to FIFA World Cup 26™ match ticketholders only.

NJ TRANSIT tickets to NYNJ Stadium are limited to 40,000 per Match-Day and can ONLY be purchased in advance via the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App.

Tickets are not available at stations or on-board trains. Customers are encouraged to purchase early, as tickets may sell out. Additional information on ticket sale dates will be shared soon.

  • Tickets are valid only for the specific Match-Day purchased and can be activated and displayed only on that day.
  • Each Match-Day ticket will display match-specific information and a designated match-day color.
  • Tickets are sold at a flat rate per person, regardless of point of origin, and include round-trip travel to and from the stadium.
  • No senior, children, promotional, or other discounts apply.

Ticket Verification & Wristbands

To ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations, all customers must present a valid FIFA World Cup 26™ match ticket to board any NJ TRANSIT service to NYNJ Stadium. Customers without a match ticket will not be permitted to board

  • Match tickets will be inspected before boarding.
  • Once your match ticket has been verified, you will receive your NJ TRANSIT Match-Day Identifier Wristband which would be valid for round-trip travel to and from NYNJ Stadium.
  • At Penn Station New York (PSNY), match ticketholders must queue for ticket inspection on 31st Street between 7th and 8th Avenues before entering the station.
  • At Hoboken Terminal, match ticketholders must enter the designated queue for ticket inspection before boarding stadium-bound service.
  • At Secaucus Junction, match ticketholders must enter the designated queue for ticket inspection before boarding stadium-bound service.
  • Customers originating from or connecting at Secaucus Junction, other than those arriving from PSNY or Hoboken Terminal, must enter the designated ticket inspection queue before boarding stadium-bound service. This includes customers arriving via drop-off or other transportation modes.
  • NJ TRANSIT Match-Day Identifier Wristband are match-day specific and must be worn at all times, including for return service after the match. No Wristband, No Boarding.

NJ TRANSIT tickets are:

  • Non-refundable
  • Non-exchangeable
  • Non-transferable
  • Valid only for the specific Match-Day purchased
